I ordered this gun with trepidation after seeing some reviews that were mixed. In addition, I had never dealt with TGS before. The transaction was as smooth as one could wish for.
I ordered this weapon to carry in an open Jeep mounted rack so I needed a weapon that would stand up to hard and dusty use. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the weapon was well made. After cleaning off copious amounts of cosmoline I ran it through its paces.
The action was about what one could expect from a shotgun in the three to four hundred dollar range. The ejection was smooth and consistent and there was a solid feel due to the two solid slide arms. I tried it with
2 3/4 inch shells as I had no 3 inch available.
The trigger had some creep but certainly nothing out of the bounds of reason. The button safety had a clean and distinct click to it which gave a positive sense of safety. I personally do not carry it with a round in the chamber as the sound of the first round being racked is a powerful psychological motivator.
At 25, 15 and seven yards this little gun put all of the pellets and slugs where they needed to be. After a few more sessions I will feel even more confident of it''s abilities.
A check of all of the hardware attached by screws revealed that they were all tight after shooting.
I would recommend this weapon to those who don''t wish to spend a ton of money for a decent gun. The heat shield is pretty cool as well.
