these are truly bad ass mags. they are bigger than a normal AR mag and heavier, probably steel, but you don''t even have to load one to see and feel the difference. they are definitely worth the extra cost. they have a much more substantial follower that doesn''t rock and they even feed into the mag-well easier/smoother than a normal AR mag. they really inspire extra confidence, even though i wasn''t at all feeling a lack of it with my other AR mags.

I spent a year in Iraq with these magazines and there is no subsitute. Beautifully manufactured, heavy, made of steel instead of flimsy aluminum. If I had my way every soldier, sailor, and Marine would use nothing else. H&K outdid themselves with this mag. The weight difference is substancial but like I said well worth it. Never had to think twice about whether or not they would feed.

These H&K clips are quite expensive, but significantly better than stock clips. Very high quality. The military guys use nothing else if they can help it... Most jams are due to cheap weak springs, not the gun itself.

Pros: Follower will not tilt, VERY sturdy construction, any misfeeds are the result of YOUR rifle, NOT the Mag Cons: Heavier than the standard AR-15 Mag.
