So, the interwebs are seemingly full of hate for DPMS and their products...this rifle is my only DPMS model, but I can tell you that it shoots extremely well, for being a carbine with a telescopic stock. I planted a Trijicon ACOG on top of it, and I just don''t know how it could shoot any better. A group of 5 rounds through a bullseye at 100 yards is fairly normal for the rifle and the ACOG. A few thousand rounds through it, as well as 2 years of deer hunting under its belt and not a single malfunction. It goes bang every time, it''s accurate, and as another reviewer mentioned, recoil is surprisingly minimal. Only bad thing I could possibly say is that it is on the heavy side, but that''s going to happen when you bulk up the innards for shooting the 7.62 NATO round. If you are looking for this type of AR, buy this gun, you won''t be disappointed.

The ar10 is a great platform...makes my ar15 seem inadequate.

Couldn''t be happier. Rifle shoots like a dream, recoil no more than my M1a and much easier to handle. A/M mags and spares available. what''s not to love!

I was a little puzzled to see the desert camo color of the weapon, instead of the black rifle I was expecting. After looking at it and showing it to my business partner and shooting buddy I decided that the color was perfect. I immediately bought a camo colored rifle scope, installed it and headed to my outdoor range to zero it. The rifle shoots like a dream. I put a grouping of five rounds in the bull''s eye at 300 yards. The entire grouping could be covered by a silver dollar. Great work!

one hell of a rifle! match it with a acog and you have a hard hitting tactical and a 300 to 500 meter incident avoider con't go wrong with this one.

The RIFLE is absolutely amazing! Shoots like a dream, and with a few modifications from my friends at MidwayUSA the gun looks like a Dream too. I added a new muzzle Brake / Compensator. Then threw on some quad rail free floating hand guards. Added a nice 12-24 x 50 Rifle scope with High mount All-in-One rings. Got a couple more 20 round clips and banded them together for quick and easy shooting. I''m soooo impressed with the gun, I purchased a DPMS Upper in 223 and now building a lower with DPMS parts. (I was wishing the 223 lower would drop onto the LR-308 lower, but no such luck) I have to admit AR15pro were great to work with too. A little slow to ship the gun (About 8 days from the order and FFL fax) but it only took a day to get to my FFL Dealer. (Wisconsin -> Michigan via UPS is FAST) THANKS for the great price on a FANTASTIC Rifle!
