I got mine as a hardly used gun (the fool) and after a hundred rounds, it works better that my Star 9mm. I love this gun. I plan to pick up a second as soon as I can find one in my favorite gun shop. The sights are excelent and it is a well balanced pistol.

I bought this compact pistol for home protection and range shooting. I like it alot but have noticed a few things. It fits my hand well and shoots very smoothly. My wife can fire it well and it''s fairly accurate. Since I''ve had it, about 150 have been through it and only one jam. The clip is for 8 rounds but I''ve noticed that it''s better to keep 7 rounds because the 8th round is very hard to squeeze into the clip and this is also where I had my jamming issues. Overall, it''s a perfect little pistol for home protection that is durable, safe (three safety features) and does not cost an arm and a leg! If you''re looking for something inexpensive, easy to handle, and fun to own, go for this one!!

Have owned my C9 for two years and have never had a problem ever.Hi-Point firearms are as good and sometimes even better than other High priced ones. would like to be able to put some other grips on but that is all.

I've had my c9 for about 5 years and have to say accuracy and function of the pistol has been 100% reliable after approxamately 2500-3000 rds.I'll confidently carry it anywhere.

This is a great 9mm. Shot the first box of 115 grain fmj. Shoots beautiful. Cycled every shot without any problem. Fits the hand and seems very well balanced. Easily is on par with my other 9mm - Ruger P89. My only suggestion is that this should come with at least one extra magazine.

I have had this gun for about 6 years or so. There are usually only 2 reasons people don''t like this gun. Its heavy, and it jams. It is a little heavy, but that helps with aim, and recoil. I put it in my hip holster, and it''s not a big problem for me. As far as jamming, that''s an ammo issue. If you don''t buy steel cased ammo like Wolf, you''ll be fine. Stick with brass. I''ve shot a ton of ammo through it, and I just cleaned it for the first time in 6 years, and it wasn''t even that dirty inside. It hasn''t ever jammed when using decent ammo. It might not have all the frills of a $800 gun, but for $650 less, I can do without. It still goes bang everytime you need it to.

I now own 9 HiPoint firearms, 2 9mm carbines, .40 carbine, 3 9mm pistols]1 comp[.380 pistol, .40 pistol, and a .45 pistol. I have had great luck with all of them, though I have polished the feed ramps and internals on most. I don''t think it is possible to find a better gun for the money, or one with a better warranty. I own many other brands as well, but I always bring a few HiPoints to the range. My first 2, 9mm pistol and carbine, have over 15,000 rounds through each of them and are still going strong. As long as you run decent ammo through them they will function 100. Avoid wolff ammo, as the stuff is garbage and has never cycled mine properly. I reload and my own bullets, and while some more expensive guns don''t allow use of bullets, my HiPoints all love it. My .45 has at least 5000 loads through it and has yet to malfunction. A few friends and I actually did a torture test on my first 9mm pistol recently, and this had 10,000+ rounds through it prior to the test. We loaded 2,000 ]yes 2,000[ rounds of FMJ loads and went to the range. I shot the pistol while 3 others loaded mags, and never stopped longer than to reload or hand the pistol off until all 2,000 rounds went through the gun. Zero malfunctions and a really hot gun were the result of our efforts. We were actually dumping water on it during mag changes at one point as it was getting too hot to hold! Any firearm that retails under $200 and has that many rounds through it, and then handles 2,000 rounds without a single malfunction is worth buying!

my friend and i own one of these and they''re a great little gun to shoot. yeah they''re a lot cheaper than my sig or my glocks but they put lead down the range just the same. my friend tends not to care for his gun and has never cleaned or lubed it in 6 months and over a 1000 rounds. despite this, it has never had a malfunction or jam. it''s a tad small for my taste but i also have huge hands. if i had any complaint, the take-down to clean it is a little tricky first few times but gets easier. would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable pistol that isn''t a junk gun.

I have run about 4500 rounds through my 9mm. I''ve owned it for 9 yrs, it the first pistol I owned. It is a bit on the heavy side, but the added weight makes it easier to control the recoil. I have found that the cheap factory loads hang-up, occasionally, but otherwise no problems. I shoot it 3-4 days a week and with the low profile front site it is easy to remove from my tactical holsters. I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased a C9 for Home Defense. It has turned out to be money well spent. Mine will eat any ammo you feed it. NEVER had a Failure To Eject, Failure To Feed or any other problems. It always goes bang when I pull the trigger. It is American made and if you ever need it,there is a no questions asked 100% warranty no matter if you bought it new or not. It is a little heavier than some other brands but you have to use your head. It is a blow back designed firearm. It is rated for +P+ ammo. Many other brands are not and are rated +P only. No need to ever have to disassemble the gun, not even for cleaning. All you need to do is lightly oil them and run a bore snake with some cleaner through it. Hi-Point even states the disassembly is unnecessary. The only draw backs to some are the standard capacity magazines and there are no real after market items made for them. If you are looking for a great dependable firearm this is it. The quality and simplicity are awesome. You can get extra 8 or 10 round magazines for them. The guns come in a compact and a compensator version. They have Poly frames. Will fit many different holsters on the market such as a Fobus. The extended capacity magazines made by Pro-Mag do not work well with these guns. They cause feed problems and ejection problems. I have put over 9700 rounds through mine and with not 1 problem. If you want a gun that will go bang everytime you pull the trigger,)provided it is loaded) then this is the gun. It also comes with a double trigger lock & a yellow chamber flag and a hard plastic storage case. Once you get one you become addicted. I now own a few of their firearms and find them all to be wonderful shooters. I conceal carry a C9 and hunt with the 995 carbine. I trust my life and my families lives to a Hi-Point firearm.

This firearm is absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to shoot. It fits perfectly in your hand, and though it is a little heavy, this helps with the recoil. My wife says it is very loud, but I was wearing hearing protection when I shot it, so I can''t comment on that. I showed it to some of my friends and told them about the price, now they all want one. Definitely one of the best purchases I''ve ever made.

excellent shooting gun. shot 3oo rounds the first time with no jams and it shoots true. a little heavy for shooting a long time but great when needed for quick defense. absorbs the kick very well and able to get right on target in a second.

This is my first handgun ]always shot rifles[ & I was/am totally surprised at how smooth it shoots. I thought a 9mm would have a hell of a recoil but this baby has little kick. A 4-yr old could shoot it without breaking his wrist. One caution: loading an 8-shot clip with all 8 bullets will cause it to jam occasionally. Only use 6 or 7 bullets and it will not jam. This is a great gun!

i bought my first had gun monday(had it a week) brought it by my bosses house and we fired off 100 rounds threw my hi poin 9mm and 100 rounds threw his bereta 9mm and both guns about the same no problems. my broter fired 8 rounds and is now going to buy one for him self.

I've owned my C9 for about a year now. I have over 600 flawless rounds through it. A little large for CC but it serves admirably as my truck gun. Good ergonomics. Sights were dead on out of the box. I would recommend Hipoint to anyone who needs a reliable pistol for defense on a budget.

I''ve shot the heck out of this as well as the 45. Fantastic! And for the price, I''ll stow them as home protection weapons and test them every 6 months instead of feeling like I need to shoot them often to get "my money''s worth". The 916 has great balance and fits well in a smaller hand.

This is pretty solid for the price point. I''ve shot the HK, Sig and Gloc, and I must say Hi Point does a pretty good job here. OK, it''s not in that category, but for the $$, it''s well worth it. It did jammed a couple of times, but then I''ve been shooting 30 rounds straight, so... Good thing, it also includes a hard case.

Fired my cheapest gun yet, but was completely satisfied. I should have bought one sooner! I fed my new C-9 147 gr HP, 115 gr HP, 115 gr FMJ it ate it all. 100 rounds and only one mis-fire, yet same bullet would'nt fire in my other 9mm. Fresh out of the box this gun was accurate,reliable,and caused some annomosity among the name gun shooters at the range.Thank you Hi-Point for the Fun!!

fired 99 rounds out of the first 100! The reliability comments of some gun snobs are a joke. Made in the USA handles nice. Would recommend the grip sleave but great gun. The 40 is especially nice too.

Just got CHL and the gun fired all 50 rounds nicely. I also tried the glock 19. Both where equal in size of pattern at 12, 21 and 50 feet. Great gun for the money

Bought my 2 weeks ago and its a good gun for the money. A little heavy compare to my s/w and ruger. Did not experience any jamming, thats because i always lubricate all my toys before taking it shooting. The only reason i went to buy the .45 acp Because i need to find out myself on how the gun will perform, it did very well. Before you bash a product try it first.

I have not had the chance to fire this pistol yet but I hope to get to the range soon. I bought this pistol after reading numerous reviews that all seemed pretty positive. So far I like what I see, it feels a bit heavy but for what I will be using it for it makes no difference. To find a nice solid well made pistol for this price is almost like stealing it.
